The Department of Geology in cooperation with the Community Service & Environmental Development Sector at  Faculty of Science held a seminar on recent discoveries of gas fields in Egypt regional water on The Mediterranean Sea under the patronage of prof./Mohamed El Sayed Dador- the university president , prof./ Abdel Hamid Abdel Fattah Kheder- Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development,prof./Mahmoud Salem –dean of the faculty of science and prof./Ahmed Mohamed Basal – head of Geology Department .

       The seminar started with the vice president’s speech which was about the university's role in community participation specially at Damietta and neighboring governorates.
