professor Dr . El Sayed Mohamad Dadour the president of the university welcomed professor Dr. Sultan Abo Orabi Eledwan - General Secretary of the Association of Arab Universities , professor Dr. Mohamad Hassan Qenawy the president of Mansoura University and professor Dr. Khaled Abd EL Bary - President of Zagazig University in order to evaluate Damietta university  for joining the Association of Arab Universities. Dr. Dadour accompanied the Committee on a tour to  visit some colleges such as the Faculty of Education,the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of  Specific Education. They visited also  the Central Library and Knowledge Bank at the Faculty of Education and Laboratories at the Faculty of Science. Then, they all moved to the new  campus . professor Dr. El Sayed Dadour held a meeting at the Council of the university room  attended by the deans, vice deans ,the secretary general of the university and some of the general managers. The meeting began with introductory video about the university.  The meeting ended with the  committee decision to approve the admission of Damietta University to the Association of Arab Universities.
