The President of the University attends the Ramadan symposium..opportunities and grants

Ramadan..opportunities and grants, a seminar in the presence of Professor Dr. Osama Al-Abd, Professor Dr. Ismail Abd Al-Rahman and Al Sheikh Mohamad Salama.

       Today, Thursday, March 24, 2022 AD, the educational symposium “Ramadan... Opportunities and Grants” was held under the auspices of Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, President of the University, and moderated by Professor Dr. Osama Al-Abd, former President of Al-Azhar University and Secretary-General of the Association of Islamic Universities, and Professor Dr. Ismail Abd Al-Rahman, Professor of Fundamentals of Jurisprudence Full-time at Al-Azhar University in Port Said, and Al Sheikh Mohamad Salama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Al Awkaf in Damietta. The symposium was organized by the Education and Student Affairs Sector under the supervision of Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taibany, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and the field organization was carried out by the General Department of Student Welfare under the supervision of Mr. Mohamad Refaat, the Director General of the General Department for Student Welfare. During the university president’s speech, during which he welcomed Professor Dr. Osama Al-Abd, Professor Dr. Ismail Abd Al-Rahman and His Eminence Sheikh Muhammad Salama, stressing that their presence today at the university to deliver this symposium is the best preparation for receiving the blessed month of Ramadan, praying to God Almighty to bring it back to the Islamic nation and our beloved Egypt with goodness and blessings. Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour presented Professor Dr. Osama Al-Abd, Professor Dr. Ismail Abd Al-Rahman and His Eminence Sheikh Mohamad Salama the university shield in appreciation and gratitude to their honor for accepting the university's invitation to attend and deliver the educational symposium. Subsequently, Professor Dr. Osama Al-Abd, Professor Dr. Ismail Abd Al-Rahman and His Eminence Al Sheikh Mohamad Salama began delivering the symposium whose themes centered on the title “Ramadan… Opportunities and Challenges”, highlighting the opportunities that the Holy Month offers to rebuild the personality, change it and develop it in resisting what it requires The human instinct of food, drink, and desires, strengthens the dominion of his soul over his body, strengthens his will over his habits, and purifies himself from its flaws and shortcomings, so as to elevate it to the horizons of perfection. The symposium also touched on shedding light on the most prominent challenges facing the fasting person during the blessed month of Ramadan, most notably the challenges of the means of communication, social networking sites, and social and psychological challenges, and the need to exploit these challenges and opportunities and invest them in drawing closer to God through various acts of worship. At the end of the symposium, the door was opened for inquiries and discussion, which witnessed a response between the symposium lecturers and attendees.
