On Wednesday 16/6/2021, Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at Damietta university in cooperation with Damietta Governorate and the Directorate of Endowments and a continuation of Damietta University's meetings in the field of participation within the presidential initiative (A Decent Life) to develop Egyptian villages through the implementation of the fifth awareness meetings in Al westany village in Kafr Saad Center. The meeting was attended by the Environmental Affairs Agency for the Eastern Delta Region , the Ministry of Endowments and Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at the university . The meeting was lectured by Prof. / Mamdoh Salem Serag, - the Emeritus Professor in the Botany Department at the Faculty of Science explains the benefits on citizens from the initiative of a decent life, by providing sustainable development for the neediest groups, starting with housing and good health in addition to awareness them to maintain the continuity of development provided to them, as well as to fill the development gaps between villages with the aim of unifying poverty standards in order to eliminate multi-dimensional poverty. The number of attendees was (30) from the villagers.
