The University Council held its session # 177

The President of the University 28.03.2022 4279

          Today, Monday, March 28, 2022, at eleven in the morning in the Great Meeting Hall of the new General Administration building, the University Council was held in its session # 177, headed by Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, President of the University, and the membership of the Vice Presidents and Deans of Faculties, and the secretariat of the session was assumed by the Secretary-General of the University. The president of the university began the session by welcoming the members of the council and standing a minute of silence for the soul of the deceased university youth student / Moustafa Serag, student in the fourth year in the English language program at the Faculty of Commerce, praying to God Almighty to bless him with his mercy and to inspire his relatives patience and solace. The university president also called on the deans of the faculties to direct the faculty members to reduce the time of lectures during the blessed month of Ramadan, provided that all lectures end at three in the afternoon in order to facilitate for male and female students, and to ensure that they return to their homes before breakfast at an appropriate time. The president of the university also directed the necessity of announcing the exam schedules immediately after the end of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr vacation. The President of the University also congratulated Professor Dr. Abd Al Hameed Khedr for renewing his tenure as Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and also congratulated Professor Dr.Mahmoud Al-Matbouly, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, and Professor Dr. Hamza Kabeel, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Human Medicine, for joining the University Council, wishing their sovereignty Sincere success and payment, and thanks to Professor Dr. Mohamad Abu Shwareb, the former Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, and Professor Dr. Ashraf Talaat, the former acting Dean of the Faculty of Human Medicine, for their efforts during their tenure as Dean of the Faculty. The President of the University also thanked Professor Dr. Osama Zeidan, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, for implementing the “Welcome Ramadan 2” exhibition yesterday, Sunday, through the Public Service Center. He also conveyed the greetings and appreciation of Professor Dr. Khaled Abd Al Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, for the exhibition, praising Creative abilities and talents of male and female students. Then he moved to discuss the agenda, and the Council took many decisions, the most important of which are as follows:

1- Approval of the start of accepting donations to contribute to the establishment, equipping and operation of the University Hospital of Damietta University on the account created for this purpose, provided that the account details will be announced later.

2- Final approval to accept the donation from both Hajj/ Mohamad Mohamad Al-Ghaly and Hajj / Ali Mohamad Al-Ghaly under the name “Al-Ghaly University Center for Outpatient Clinics” affiliated with Damietta University, and the donation is expected to amount to 100 million pounds, and the matter was raised to Professor Dr. Khaled Abd Al Al Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to take what he deems appropriate to finalize the procedures for accepting the donation.

3- Approval to grant Dr. Reham Mohamad Nada, assistant professor at the Department of Botany and Microbiology at the College of Science, the scientific title of a professor in the “Scientific Excellence System” specializing in “Cell and Genetics”, where it is worth mentioning that through the Scientific Excellence System the researcher can submit his research published in journals classified as The first in the world, and if its publication is proven, he will be promoted for scientific excellence, without his research being subject to arbitration by the committees of arbitrators at the Supreme Council of Universities.

4- Approval of amending the regulations of the bachelor's stage at the Faculty of Agriculture to become a credit hour system, and taking the necessary measures in this regard.

5- Approval of amending the schedules of meals provided in university cities during the holy month of Ramadan to conform to the nature of the blessed month, provided that the university bears the difference in fees allocated to what has been added to the new schedules for male and female students residing in university cities.

6- Approval of the establishment of the guest house at Damietta University and the adoption of its regulations, provided that the legal procedures are completed.

7- Approval of the financial regulations for the distinctive programs of the College of Computing and Artificial Intelligence, provided that the legal procedures are completed.

8- Approval to pay an amount of 30 million pounds, the value of purchasing the workshop building from the New Damietta City Development Authority to the university, which is located south of the university campus and parallel to the university wall The engineer addresses the head of the New Damietta City Development Authority, and this is a new addition to the university's assets to establish workshops for the Faculty of Engineering and other faculties.

9- Granting the scientific title to two (2) professor positions.

10- Granting the scientific title to two (2) assistant professor positions.

11- Appointment of two (2) by way of promotion with the rank of teacher in the faculties of the university.

12- Appointment of a number (1) by announcing the rank of assistant teacher in the faculties of the university.

Awarding a number of (8) PhD degrees. 13- Granting (18) a master's degree.
