Today, Sunday, April 3, 2022, Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, President of the University, met with the DU Racing Team, which includes a number of creative and talented male and female students from various academic teams at the College of Engineering, after they won first place in the CONCEPT CLASS category. The Du Racing Team meeting marks the beginning of the work of the first meeting of the Board of Directors of the Center for Talent and Creativity Management, in the presence of the members of the Board of Directors, whose most prominent specialization is the care of talented and creative male and female students of the various university faculties, nurturing their talent and working to develop it and providing all means of support necessary to maximize its benefit, in response for the directives of  President Abd Al Fattah El-Sisi during his meeting with members of the Supreme Council of Universities, who directed at the time to strengthen mechanisms for sponsoring and supporting talented and outstanding students, in order to build a generation of distinguished youth cadres capable of innovative contributions to completing the country’s sustainable development process, and to consolidate the factor of knowledge, innovation and creativity in society . The President of the University congratulated members of the Du Racing Team, for their achievement, the first of its kind at Damietta University, praising their efforts over the past months under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hatem Idrees, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Abdullah Mohamad El-Sayed, assistant professor of electrical engineering and supervisor of the team’s project. The university president also listened to the team's demands, most of which focused on means of material and logistical support in the coming period, which will witness the implementation of the project idea (an electric car with special specifications), which is supposed to take place within 6 months. At the end of the meeting, the university president assured the Du Racing Team that their demands are met and supported by all means to reach the desired goal, wishing them more excellence and payment in their university and working lives.
