On Thursday 19 / 11 / 2020 ," Green Your University " initiative was launched under the supervision of professor Dr. Ahmed Lotfy Wans, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and the integrated coordination of professor Dr. Mustafa Maher Al-Maghazy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture for Education and Student Affairs, professor Dr. Metwally Mustafa Selim, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture for Community Service and Environmental Development, and professor Dr. Nahed Mustafa Rashed, Head of the Vegetable and Adornment Department. This is in the framework of the ongoing efforts to establish the University of Damietta a prominent position in various classifications, and on the guidance of professor Dr. El Sayed Mohamad Dadour the president of the university to reach the university advanced levels within the classification of green and environmentally friendly universities .This is in line with Egypt's Sustainable Development Plan 2030, , and for what the College of Agriculture represents in exploiting and coordinating the interstitial spaces in the facilities at the new campus. The preparation for the implementation of the initiative was carried out through an educational student project to coordinate and beautify the spaces and green spaces on the campus in New Damietta City, which aims to provide the college students with the opportunity to implement their" Land Scape "projects by distributing the spaces and surfaces on the campus to groups of students.
