On Sunday 5 / 1 / 2020 Professor Dr. El Sayed Mohamad Dadour  the president of the university participated in the first day of the, “we will get it” initiative, sponsored by President Abd Al Fattah Al-Sisi to plant a million trees. The president of the university planted the first fruitful tree at Damietta University in the presence of Eng. Mohamad Al-Qubtan,- the  general coordinator of the initiative , Professor Dr. Abd Al Hamid Khedr, - the vice president of the university for Community Service and Environmental Development, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally, the vice president of the university for Graduate Studies and Research Professor Dr. El-Metwally Selim,- the vice dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and numbers of university students, Professors and administrators at the university. Dr. Dadour  also kindly invited the attendees to participate in planting trees within the university. The leaders of the initiative also offered thanks and appreciation for the speedy response of the President of the University and his participation among students. It is worth mentioning that 350 olive seedlings ,450 pomegranate seedlings ,100 lemon seedlings will be planted in the architectural spaces between the educational and administrative buildings of the university. The initiative continues at the level of the Republic to plant fruit trees, and that future generations will reap the benefits of the objectives of the campaign environmentally, socially, economically and strategically.
