Under the patronage of Prof. / El-Sayed Mohamed Da’dour - President of the University and the supervision of Prof. / Wael Farouk Al-Taibani - Vice President for Education & Students  Affairs, a delegation of Damietta University students participated in the President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inauguration of the project developing the fishermen's village in Ras El Bar through video conference technology.

The project of developing  the fishermen's village comes in implementation of the instructions  of the President of the Republic / Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to eliminate unsafe slums and housing people in residential complexes that provide them with a new societal reality. The project includes 12 buildings including 250 housing units for people of the area, with the highest architectural style to provide a decent life for the residents which fits the civilized appearance of Ras El Bar city, after it was one of the slum areas in it.

It is worth mentioning that the project of developing the fishermen village comes within 12 presidential inaugurations in the areas of October - Salam - Ruwaisat - Hurghada - Safaga - Sayeda Zeinab - Ras El Bar - Factory Land - El Qusair
