University President inaugurates” Uniting for Anti-Corruption” seminar

           On Wednesday 9 / 12 / 2020 ” Uniting for Anti-Corruption” Colloquium was held , where professor  Dr. El Sayed Mohamad Dadour The President of the university welcomed Colonel/ Mohamad Abu Heiba, Head of the Administrative Control Authority in Damietta and the lecturers of the seminar, also he welcomed the attendees where it was attended by the Vice-Presidents of the University and a number of deans of the faculties, members of the faculty and the administrative staff , and a number of university students. Dr. Dadour also appreciated the efforts made by the Administrative Control Authority in combating corruption in order to advance our beloved Egypt. This in turn helped to achieve the desired benefit and national objectives in this field by spreading the concepts of integrity and transparency, training government cadres, the private sector, citizens and international cadres, as well as conducting research and studies on the causes and effects of corruption and ways to confront and prevent  it. After that, Colonel/ Mohamad Abu Heiba, , Head of the Administrative Control Authority in Damietta, gave a presentation on the Administrative Control Authority and its role in preventing and combating corruption, which included many topics, the most important of which is the axis of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy, as well as the role of the Administrative Control Authority in combating corruption and preventing it through :

Researching and investigating the causes of deficiencies in work and production and proposing means to avoid them. Follow up on the implementation of laws and ensure that the decisions and regulations in force are adequate to achieve their purpose.

Developing and following up the implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy in participation and coordination with the relevant authorities and agencies in the country. Cooperation, coordination and exchange of experiences, documents and information with the regulatory authorities and agencies in the country and the competent authorities to combat corruption abroad.

Follow-up on the results of international, regional and local indicators in preventing and combating corruption and making recommendations to avoid negative consequences.

Spreading the values ??of integrity, transparency and societal awareness of corruption risks. Use of information technology to prevent corruption.

Screening of candidates for senior positions.

Detecting the defects of the administrative, technical and financial systems.

Disclosure of administrative and financial violations and criminal offences committed by workers during or as a result of their carrying out their job duties. Detecting and controlling crimes aimed at obtaining a profit or benefit by exploiting the capacity of a public employee or holding a public office or the name of any of the bodies with which the authority is competent. Investigate issues of money laundering and graft cases . It is worth mentioning that on December 9, 2014, the first phase of the national anti-corruption strategy was launched under the auspices of the President of the Republic from the headquarters of the  of the Administrative Control Authority, which is the date corresponding to the International Anti-Corruption Day, in confirmation of the political will in support of the state institutions concerned with preventing and combating corruption. The executive tasked with implementing and following up the goals and policies included in the strategy.
