The conclusion of the activities of the Climate Change Conference at Damietta University

        Professor Dr. El Sayed Mohamad Dadour the president of Damietta University, witnessed the conclusion of the activities of the Sixth International Environmental Conference "Climate Changes and Sustainable Development", which is organized by the Faculty of Science at Damietta University, which will be held from 3-5 October 2022 at Lamar Hotel in New Damietta. The activities of the third and final day of the conference began in the presence of the President of the University. His Excellency listened to the first session, which included an explanation of a number of posters related to climate changes, including an explanation by Professor Dr. Mohamad Abd Al-Gleel, Department of Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Science, Damietta University, who dealt with the talk about climate changes for the beaches, especially Ras Beach The land, Gamasa beach and Baltim beach, and the development of alternative scientific solutions to confront the danger of climate changes on the beaches. An explanation was also provided on water sterilization using ozone, biological treatment of wastewater and the distribution of heavy elements in the Nile waters. The conference completed its activities for the third day in a row, and in the plenary session, topics were presented that dealt with the dangers of climate change in Egypt, solar energy and the impact of climate change on poultry wealth, as well as microbial toxins, followed by the closing session and recommendations. On the sidelines of the conference, the President of the University congratulated Dr. Doaa Adel El-Imam, a teacher of environmental sciences at the Faculty of Science, Damietta University, for winning first place in development projects related to women, climate change and sustainability, and for representing Damietta Governorate at the national level in the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects under the auspices of President Abd Al Fattah El-Sisi, President The republic launched by the Egyptian government in light of Egypt's hosting and presidency of the United Nations Climate Conference in Sharm El Sheikh. The conference came up with a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: Reducing the effects of climate change - Using nano-fertilizers - Biological treatment of water pollution - Paying attention to the protection of beaches - Continuing the protection of Lake Manzala - Afforestation of the areas affiliated to the state institutions, increasing the green space and planting wooden trees using sanitation.
