Today, Sunday, October 2, 2022, Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, President of the University, welcomed the students of the university for the academic year 2022/2023, which was held on the new campus of the university and organized by the General Administration of Student Welfare. The reception was attended by Professor Dr. Abd Al Hamid Khedr, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabee Al-Metwally, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taibany, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, deans of faculties, faculty members and the supporting body. The ceremony began with the raising of the flag and the playing of the national anthem, then the university president and the attendees inspected the technical exhibition of the university’s colleges and some projects for the College of Engineering and the College of Computers and Artificial Intelligence under the supervision of Mr. Mohamed Refaat, Director General of the General Administration of Welfare and Students. The activities of the ceremony, which the President of the University visited, also included an exhibition match in boxing for the Mediterranean champion, Yomna Ayyad, who won the bronze medal in the Mediterranean championship that was held in Algeria, and another match for the Egyptian champions for juniors, and a presentation of the game of kickboxing on the Yemeni arena, as well as the football championship, and football Volleyball, table tennis, speedball, and tennis. On the sidelines of the meeting, a tennis match was held between the President of the University and Professor Dr. Mohamad Abu Shawareb. Some recreational games such as ladder and snake were also carried out on the open courts in the Olympic Village of the university. At the end of the ceremony, the President of the University saluted the male and female students and congratulated them on the occasion of the start of the academic year 2022/2023, wishing them a successful academic year. He also thanked the organizing students and the General Administration for Student Welfare headed by Mr. Mohamad Refaat and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taibany for their continuous efforts to organize such works that work on developing student participation in various activities.
