Today, Monday, January 2, 2023, Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, the University President, launched the activities of the university’s internal award in its first session by organizing a workshop for ambassadors of government excellence in the university’s faculties, in the presence of Professor Dr. Abd Al Hamid Khedr, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and Head of the Awards Management Team The University's Interior Ministry, and Professor Dr. Mohamad Omran, evaluation officer in the committee, and ambassadors of excellence in the faculties of Damietta University. During the meeting, the university president welcomed the attendees and congratulated them on the occasion of the new year, and confirmed that Damietta University was a pioneer in these meetings and supported distinguished people in various fields.

It is worth noting that the Supreme Council of Universities has approved the participation of Damietta University among ten public universities in the second phase of the internal awards system. Entities to participate in the National Award "Egypt Award for Government Excellence" in the categories of government colleges, government innovative initiative and work teams.
