On Thursday 28/ 11/ 2019 professor Dr . El Sayed Mohamad Dadour the president of the university attended the university celebration of the World Diabetes Day which organized by professor Dr. Ashraf Talat – the head of the department of" Visceral Diseases" Faculty of Medicine, Banha and the general supervisor of the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine, Damietta University . The event was held in cooperation with the Delta Diabetes Association headed by professor Dr. Mohamad Kamar and the Faculty of Nursing, Damietta University. The event started with a convoy inside the university to measure students and professors' diabetes. After that, an educational seminar was held in which professor Dr. Ashraf Talat , professor Dr. Mohamad Awad – the Professor of Internal Diseases at Zagazig University and the president of the current session of the Conference of the Delta Diabetes Association and , professor Dr. Nahed Fekry the dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Damietta University discussed  the causes and the hazard of diabetes and its symptoms and how to treat it. Students of the Faculty of Nursing participated in the activities of the examination and the seminar. It is noteworthy that this day is set to be celebrated because it coincides with the day of the discovery of insulin one of the most important methods of treating diabetes.
