Damietta University's efforts towards literacy and adult education programs

        On Sunday 1/ 3 / 2020 Damietta University organized an event to review the implementation of its efforts in literacy and adult education sponsored by Professor Dr. El Sayed  Mohamad  Dadour  the president of the University and supervised by Professor Dr. Abd El Hamed Khedr- the vice president for Community Service and Environmental Development and Professor Dr. Mayada Al Basel – the dean of the faculty of Education . In the presence of Dr. Ashour Ahmed Emry – the head of the executive branch of the Adult Education Authority in Egypt , Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie-the vice president for Postgraduate Studies and Research and  Professor Dr. Wael Al Taybany –the vice president for Education and Students' Affairs ,deans and vice-deans of the faculties of the University and members of the teaching staff and their assistants and the head of the branch of the Adult Education Authority in Damietta, Professor Nasser Hammad and a group of distinguished attendees and students of the College of Education. On the sidelines of the ceremony, the president of the university announced the university's initiative entitled: “Eradicating their illiteracy is a life ... together we can.” He called on all university colleges for honest competition among them to activate this initiative . The celebration included a set of lyrics for the Department of Music Education at the Faculty of Specific Education headed by Dr. Salah Abdullah and another lyric for the” ToBe “team at the Faculty of Education in sign language . The ceremony also included showing a documentary video of the steps of cooperation between the university and the Adult Education Authority by the head of the branch of the Adult Education Authority in Damietta as well as a review by Dr. Mohamed Jumaa, the university’s general coordinator for literacy and adult education, of the university’s philosophy in the field of adult education and its vision for the future .
