The President of the University witnesses the celebration of the University of World Teachers' Day

         Within the framework of the activities of the UNESCO Club at the university, today, Tuesday, October 4, 2022 Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, President of the University, witnessed the university’s celebration on the occasion of World Teacher’s Day, which was held in the auditorium of the Faculty of Education, where he was received by Professor Dr. El-Shahat Saad Mohamad Etman, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Professor Dr. Ahmed Abd Al-Fattah Al-Zeky, Coordinator of the UNESCO Club at Damietta University. The celebration, organized by the UNESCO Club at the university, in cooperation with the General Administration for Student Welfare, began with the Republican Peace, then verses from the Holy Qur’an, then words. Speech of Professor Dr. Shahat Saad Mohamad Etman, Dean of the College of Education, and Speech of Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taibany, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. After that came the speech of Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, President of the University, in which he thanked the attending faculty members, administrators and students. Of developments and technology in learning, the human element will remain the most important element in the educational process. Therefore, we find that the influence of the teacher is very large, directly and indirectly, and today we celebrate this day and we respect, venerate and appreciate the teacher. At the end of the celebration, a number of distinguished teachers at the school level of Damietta Governorate were honored. It is worth noting that World Teachers' Day is an international day held annually on October 5. Beginning in 1994, to celebrate the 1966 signature of the UNESCO/ILO Recommendation on the Status of Teachers, the Recommendation was a standard-setting tool that addresses the situation and situations of teachers worldwide. This Recommendation sets out standards for education, employment and training staff policy, as well as for teachers' continuing education, employment, and working conditions. World Teachers' Day aims to focus on “recognizing, evaluating and improving teachers in the world” and providing an opportunity to consider issues related to teachers and teaching.
