For the first time, Damietta University appears in the Russian international classification of universities (RUR), where the results of the classification were announced hours ago, and Damietta University came in fifth place among all Egyptian universities after the American University in Cairo, Alexandria University, Ain Shams University and Cairo University, respectively, in the classification The International Round University Rankings 2022, achieving 18th place at the level of African universities and 831st at the level of universities in the world. The RUR (Moscow - Russia) International University Ranking publishes annually in May from 2010 to the current year.

RUR measures the performance of the world's top 1,100 leading universities from 85 countries around the world according to twenty indicators distributed over four main dimensions:

1. Teaching

2. Scientific research

3. Global Diversity
 

4. Sustainability 

The ranking of Damietta University was as follows:

1. Teaching Ranking:

The university achieved 8th place locally and 849th globally.

 

2. Research Ranking:

Where the university came in seventh place locally and 764 globally.

 

3. International Ranking Diversity:

The university ranked sixth locally and 863 globally.

 

4. Financial Sustainability Ranking:

Damietta University ranked fourth locally and 672 globally.

Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, President of the University, confirms that the appearance of Damietta University for the first time in the Russian classification RUR reflects the distinguished efforts made to advance Damietta University’s scientific and research role. The plan is supervised by the Graduate Studies and Research Sector, headed by Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, Vice President of the University.

The president of the university extends his thanks to the university's international classifications team headed by Dr. Amany El-Diasty.It is worth noting that this ranking is based on data provided by Clarivate Analytics, formerly known as Thomson Reuters, and thus the RUR rating is an excellent tool for selecting students from different universities to study in for opportunities in the labor market, as well as a good tool for comparing higher education institutions at the global level.
