Today, Monday, October 3, 2022, the activities of the Sixth International Environmental Conference "Climate Changes and Sustainable Development", organized by the Faculty of Science at Damietta University, began under the auspices of Professor Dr. Mohamad Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Professor  Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, President of the University during the period 3-5 October 2022 at Lamar Hotel in New Damietta. The activities of the conference began with the Republican anthem, then verses from the Noble Qur’an, then words by Professor Dr. Kadry Abd Al Kedr Al-Bakry, Secretary of the Conference, Professor Dr. Omnia Abd Al-Salam Al-Batrawy, Conference Rapporteur, Professor Dr. Mohamad Ismail Abu Dobara, Dean of the Faculty of Science and President of the Conference, and Professor Dr. Abd Al-Hamid Abd Al-Fattah Al-Sayed Khedr, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabee Al-Metwally, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research ,and Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taibany, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. After that, the speech of Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, President of the University, who conveyed at the beginning the greeting of H.E Professor Dr. Mohamad Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research to the conference participants and his appreciation for their participation in such conferences that concern urgent issues and that employ scientific research to serve the community, also welcomed The president of the university attended, headed by Professor Dr. Moawad El-Khouly, President of Mansoura National University, and Professor Dr. El-Saeed Abd Al-Hady, President of Horus University. He also congratulated the attendees on the victories of the glorious October War. He also congratulated on the occasion of the approaching birth of the Prophet, and the president of the university was keen to thank all those in charge of Conference. He added that the conference comes as part of a series of continuous efforts inside Egypt regarding trend change, where the entire world is united and humanity's efforts are combined to confront the enormous forces of nature in an attempt to prevent what can be prevented and prepare for the consequences of what cannot be prevented. In reference to some of the issues related to climate change. After that, memorial shields were handed over to the guests, then the scientific sessions began, which included four scientific sessions on the first day of the conference, and four sessions will be held on the second day, in addition to one scientific session and the closing session on the last day. These researches are discussed and judged by a group of scientific and practical staff members at Damietta University. A number of faculty members at the level of Egyptian universities and a number of expatriate researchers will participate in the conference. It is worth noting that the Climate Change Conference at Damietta University aims at several topics, the most important of which are climate changes and environmental systems, nanotechnology applications, environmental monitoring systems, environmentally friendly chemistry, and renewable energy sources. and alternative, basic and environmental sciences and sustainable development .
