On Wednesday 21 / 10 / 2020, the  president of the University Professor , Dr. El Sayed Mohamad Dadour visited  the laboratories of the College of Nursing , which has recently been equipped and furnished to serve the educational process optimally and in accordance with the preparation of the graduate of the Faculty of Nursing at the highest efficiency to meet the requirements of the labor market. , Dr. Dadour was accompanied by Professor , Dr. Nahed Fekry, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, the faculty vice deans and a number of members of the administrative staff.

The delegation visited:

• Obstetrics and Gynecology Laboratory and Baby Lab , It is a sophisticated laboratory that contains a number of simulations that are used in the process of interactive training for students during pre, during and after childbirth procedures, as well as mother and child care, as well as breast examination for early detection of breast tumors. The lab also contains models of the stages of fetal development in the uterus, and models of contraceptive composition. The lab also includes a number of simulations for a one-week-old premature baby and a 37-week-old baby who serves many different recovery and care procedures. . It is worth mentioning that This Laboratory costed 2 million pounds.

• Critical and emergency laboratory:

The lab simulates practical training on critical and emergency situations, and contains a number of models to train students on such as simulating cardiac and lung resuscitation training, measuring vital processes, installing urinary catheters, intramuscular and venous injections, and hearing abnormal chest and heart sounds . This Laboratory costed 2 million pounds. It is worth noting that all the devices and models that were provided in the laboratories are the most recent devices in the market at the present time, and this works to qualify the students of the college in an optimal manner and in a manner appropriate for Damietta University to serve the Damietta community. The processing and furnishing of the laboratories of the College of Nursing comes as a continuation of the efforts to equip and develop all the faculties of the university and its various units with the latest devices, equipment and laboratories to raise the university’s academic status, which contributes to get a university graduate at the highest level of scientific and practical competence
