The university ranks fifth locally in the Times University Impact Ranking 2022

Today, Wednesday, April 27, 2022, the Times International announced the results of the Times University Impact Ranking: The Impact Ranking 2022

This was on the sidelines of The Innovation and Impact Summit, which was held in the Swedish capital, Stockholm, today.

Despite the recent inception of the university, Damietta University has maintained its appearance in this classification for the third year in a row, so the university’s ranking came from 601-800 globally and ranked fifth locally.Damietta University has also made remarkable progress in the seventeen criteria of this international classification, which is concerned with the impact of universities in their local communities by achieving global sustainability in accordance with United Nations standards. For example, Damietta University ranked 101-200 globally in each of the fourteenth criterion. Water life and environment, and the seventh criterion: clean energy at moderate prices.It also ranked 301 in each of the second criterion: Contribution to preventing famines, the twelfth criterion: rationalizing consumption and production, and in the sixteenth criterion: peace, justice and strong institutions.Although double the number of universities ranked in that classification qualified this year compared to last year, Damietta University maintained its presence in the classification for the third year in a row and achieved advanced ranks despite the increase in competition with the increase in the number of globally ranked universities to more than 1500 universities worldwide. general.It is worth mentioning that the President of Damietta University, Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, pays great attention to this classification, which includes all the seventeen sustainable development criteria that the university seeks to achieve as part of its mission and strategic plan, which aims to have a distinguished presence locally, regionally and globally, and this is the result of a great effort. For the postgraduate studies sector, headed by Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and the classification team at the university led by Dr. Amany Al-Diasty, and it also expresses the good institutional performance of all university affiliates, in a way that contributes to achieving the United Nations sustainable development goals.
