The university champion wins the African Championship

            Youmna Ahmed Rizk, a student in the first year at the Faculty of Physical Education, won the gold medal in the African Muaythai Championship, weighing 54 kilos, after defeating the Moroccan champion in the final stage of the championship.

                                                           

Professor Dr. El Sayed Mohamad Dadour the president of the university, extends his sincere congratulations to the African champion and the Damietta university student, wishing her more excellence and success in the coming period. Thus, the African champion Youmna Rizk ensured participation in the TWG World Games 2022, which will be hosted by the American city of Birmingham during the month of July 2022.

 

The President of the University extends his sincere thanks to Professor Dr. Wael Al-Taibany, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Mohamad Abu Shawareb, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, for their interest in their sons and daughters, students and students of the university, their keenness to develop their talents and their participation in local, regional and international forums and tournaments. It is worth noting that the African Muaythai Championship comes after the full recognition that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recently granted to Muay Thai to become an Olympic sport, as the tournament that took place on November 11-13, 20201 was an opportunity for African champions to raise the rate of friction between players from different countries. Continent with raising their competitive readiness ahead of the launch of several regional and global tournaments in the coming period.
