Today, Wednesday, November 17, 2021, Professor Dr. El Sayed Mohamad Dadour the president of the university, welcomed members of the teaching staff and the supporting staff in the faculties of the university, the winners of the Distinguished Scientific Publication Award for research published in journals with impact factor and has a quarterly arrangement, in the presence of the Vice Presidents of the University. The meeting began with the playing of the Egyptian national anthem, followed by the recitation of the Noble Qur’an by student Mustafa Kotb in the third year of the Department of Egyptian Archeology at the Faculty of Archeology. The meeting was presented by Dr. Nabil Mabrouk, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Archeology. Thanks to the President of the University for his continuous support to all sectors of the university, and he also thanked and congratulated Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, for the flourishing results achieved by the Graduate Studies sector in the field of scientific publishing and international classification. Professor Dr. Abd Al Hamid Kheder, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, thanked the President of the University for his continuous support, and thanked Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally for reaping the university’s scientific publishing efforts and for the university winning the last prize, which is the first place among the newly established Egyptian universities. In international publication, it achieved an impact factor of 2.46%. Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally gave a presentation that included highlights and comparisons of all results for the past three years, for the number of published research, as well as the funding of research projects and the rate of publication of various university faculties, which ranked the Faculty of Science first among the university's faculties. During the speech of Professor Dr. El Sayed Mohamad Dadour the president of the university, he conveyed the greetings and congratulations of the Minister, Professor Dr. Khaled Abd Al Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Damietta University for winning the first place in distinguished scientific publishing at the level of emerging universities. He also confirmed that the university was honored today by embracing the honorable scholars who contributed to the university winning many awards and occupying many advanced positions in various international classifications. He also invited all members of the teaching staff and the supporting staff in the faculties of the university wishing to receive training in international publishing to communicate with Professor Dr. Hemdan Al-Metwally, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, to work on spreading and consolidating the culture of international publishing and its various methods. He also noted that the university had signed a cooperation protocol with E-JUST, the Egyptian-Japanese University of Science and Technology in Borg El Arab, which will contribute significantly to cooperation between the two universities in the field of scientific research at the university. The discussion with the honorees is beginning, which resulted in many constructive ideas and theses for the development of publishing and scientific research, which will be studied and researched for their application on the ground to serve the scientific research and its applications, as well as increasing the rates of international publication.
