professor  Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, President of the University, received a report from professor Dr. Mohamad Abu Dobara, Dean of the Faculty of Science, about the participation of students of the distinguished program biotechnology at the Faculty of Science, where the first participation of students of the distinguished program (Biotechnology - Department of Plant and Microbiology - Faculty of Science) in the eighth national competition Biotechnology (SOLE- Season 8), held at Nile University on Friday, February 25, 2022. The team representing Damietta University ranked fourth out of twelve Egyptian universities. The students showed an honorable representation, a decent appearance, and a comprehensive knowledge in their field of specialization, which reflects the quality of the program's courses and the efforts made by the faculty members to reach this level. The team participating in the competition included ten students, whose names are as follows under the supervision of the program coordinator, professor Dr. Heba Talaat Ebaid and program director, professor Dr.  Ahmed Qassem Abd Al Samad.
