The university welcomes the project management unit committee to follow up on digital transformation

       On Thursday, August 25, 2022, Damietta University welcomed the committee of the Project Management Unit at the Ministry of Higher Education, which is entrusted with following up on the files of digital transformation at Damietta University. The committee formed based on the decision of Eng. Nasser Al-Amir, Executive Director of the Information Systems and Technology Project (ICTP), included all of the following:

1. Professor Dr. Mona Nasr - Digital Transformation Consultant at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

2. Professor Dr. Hany Al-Nashar - Digital Transformation Consultant at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

3. Eng. Ahmed Gaber - Project Infrastructure Officer.

The members of the committee were received by Professor Dr. Abd Al HamEd Khedr, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taibany, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Wael Abd El-Kader Awad, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence and Executive Director of Information CIO at Damietta University. The committee was also accompanied during the visit by:

1. Professor Dr. Mohamed Amasha - Director of the University's Electronic Portal.

2. Dr. Aya Al-Zoghby - Vice Dean of the College of Computing and Artificial Intelligence for Community Service and Environmental Development.

3. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Zayed - Project Manager for Electronic Tests.

4. Eng. Mohamad Al-Maslamany - Director of the University Network.

The committee discussed the university's digital transformation files in terms of establishments, installations, infrastructure, connectivity lines, systems integration, and the executive position of each file.

The committee’s work also included a field visit to the university’s old and new information centers, electronic testing centers, equipment for receiving the digital “Ashbal Egypt” initiative, as well as following up on the implementation of Fiber Optics lines, following up on the university’s electronic portal project and ensuring complete integration with the university’s various electronic systems and the credibility of feeding the site with information and linking it With the university's electronic and service centers.
