On Monday 3 / 12/ 2018 , Damietta University celebrated the International Day for Special Needs, sponsored by professor Dr. El Sayed  Mohamad  Dadour the president of the university in cooperation with the Egyptian French  Medical Association , in the presence of professor Dr. Manal Awad Mekhaeel 

- Governor of Damietta, vice presidents  of the university ,deans
and a number of faculty members and university students. Dr. Dadour welcomed the attendees , stressing that everyone has contributed to support and develop the abilities and skills of Special Needs. He thanked the
Egyptian French Association to Support the university with a number of wheelchairs and a number of blind stick. Dr. Dadour honored  the champions of disability from civil society, university students and  the administrative staff  . The event concluded with great symphonies from Al Noor and Amal Society Orchestra , Cairo.
