The Supreme Council of Universities announces what was received by the Council Secretariat from Prof. / Head of the Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector at the Ministry of Higher Education, including a letter from the Secretariat of the United Nations Office in Nairobi. Attached by the letter was circulated to the missions of African countries in Nairobi regarding the African initiative for capacity-building and skills development in the field of translation and interpretation entitled" Pan - African  Masters Consortium on Interpretation and Translation" The first phase of the initiative has been completed and preparations are underway for the second one , Expanding the scope of the initiative to include a university from an Arabic-speaking country in Africa, as well as a university from southern Africa.
