On Wednesday 22 / 1/ 2020, the University Council held its session #134 headed by the  President of the University Professor  Dr. El Sayed Mohamad Dadour who            began by welcoming the first session in the new year, hoping that it will be a year of prosperity and good will for Egypt and the Arab nation. Dr. Dadour also thanked Professor  Dr. Bushra Abd Al-Mumin Abd Al Hamid, the vice president of the University for Mansoura University Branch Affairs in Damietta previously, for his concern to build a wall for the entire university’s land, which contributed to protecting the university’s land from infringements, which caused preserving the university’s assets.

The council  discussed many topics and issued several decisions such as :

Commissioning the dean of the faculty of Agriculture to develop mechanisms for the development of the research unit at The Abu Jarida Center to increase its productivity.

Approval of the establishment of a number of research and scientific centers in order to activate the terms of the strategic plan of the University, which are:

1- Graduate Center for Small projects and Entrepreneurship Training.

2- Heritage Research and Maintenance Center.

3- English special purpose teaching center.

4- Heritage Crafts Center.

5- Fisheries Studies and Consultation Center.

6- Fungal Toxicological Control and Food Analysis Center.
