The Third Scientific Conference" Future Scientists 4" at Damietta University

          Under the patronage of Prof. / Khaled Abdel Ghaffar - Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. / Mohamed Dadour - President of Damietta University, within the framework of the university’s keenness to encourage students from Egyptian universities and institutes.

The activities of the third scientific conference "Future Scientists 4" were implemented by the hybrid system in Damietta University on 30-31/3/ 2021. Headed by Prof. / Wael Farouk El-Taybani - Vice President of Damietta University for Education & Student Affairs, the conference rapporteur is Prof. / Nemat Mohamed Hasan, and the conference secretary is Prof. / Ghada Mohamed El-Sayyad.

The Organizing Committee Prof. / Nashwa Mohamad Al-Shafei, Prof. / Omnia Al-Batrawy, Dr./ Basma Sheta, Dr. /Ahmed Zayed, Dr./ Mohamad Atef Heikal, mr./ Mohamad Refat Mostafa, student / Mohamed Ahmed Eissa, the president of Students Union.

The conference attracted undergraduate students from all faculties and specialties in Egyptian universities and institutes, the accepted papers in the conference this year reached (94) from 101 presented papers, which are in a variety of scientific, humanitarian and literary fields, The accepted technical participations in the conference this year reached (31 from 120 artworks). As the joint artworks in the art exhibition were distinguished by the diversity and richness of different artistic trends and ideas. The conference contained two art exhibitions, one actual and the other virtual, using some specialized electronic programs .

In addition, Microsoft Teams was used and a special group was created to watch the conference’s activities, and another link for the live broadcast of the conference’s activities on the electronic portal of the official website of Damietta University.

The conference members reached the following recommendations:-

1.        Encouraging young researchers ideas and allocating research scholarships for the distinguished students at the conference.

2.       Encouraging students to apply for patenting.

3.       Work on concerted efforts to achieve sustainable development.

4.        Take advantage of the artificial intelligence role in marketing and medical applications, detection of chronic diseases, prevention of epidemics, and activation of precautionary procedures against Covid-19.

5.        Paying attention to the arts role in terms of influencing political and social life.

6.        Seeking to study the development of slums in accordance with sustainable development plans.

7.       The necessity to study modern technologies and apply them through governorate officials when restoring Damietta's archaeological sites, especially Damietta Archaeological Bridge.

8.       Working on marketing all kinds of tourism and archaeological sites in Damietta, in a way that contributes to the development of the national economy.

9.       Reviving Damietta's traditional crafts and taking care of them through the concerned organizations.

10.    Expanding the use of cheap plant products as preservatives.

11.   Applying nanotechnology to microorganisms and applying it at the health level

12.   Initiate awareness campaigns on the importance of cultivating rooftops using smart technologies.

13.   Encouraging research related to foodstuffs and proper nutrition.

14.   Emphasis on the family’s role in monitoring what their children watch from cinematic films.

15.   Activating the university’s role in solving environmental problems.

16.   Take advantage of microorganisms in the production of some materials of economic importance.

17.    Development of artificial intelligence and robot applications.

The conference concluded its activities with the announcement of the winners :-

2.       Mona Mohamad Salem - Mona Helmy Abd al-Hadi Mishaal - Maryam Mohamad Ra`fat Teama - Marwa al-Sayed Atef al-Shahat (Faculty of Specific Education, Damietta University)

 

·         Third position equally between:

1.       Mohamad Alaa Asal - Shorouk Ayman Ibrahim Mohamad (Faculty of Pharmacy, Horus University)

2.       Habiba Khalil Naeem Abdullah (Faculty of Agriculture, Damanhour University)

 

Second: The best research in the literary field:

1.       First position / Mohamed Saber El-Metwally Shaheen (Faculty of Arts, Damietta University)

2.       Second position / Gamal Mohamad Al-Desouky Badr - Maryam Al-Hadidi Taher Khraizah (Raya Higher Institute)

3.       Third position / Omnia Essam Al-Nagar (Faculty of Archeology, Damietta University)
