Students of the College of Engineering dedicate their victory in the ISEIC-2023 competition to the University President

     In a good initiative and a beautiful gesture, a number of students of the Faculty of Engineering, Damietta University, gifted Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, President of Damietta University, their victory in the International Competition for Scientific and Engineering Innovations (ISEIC'2023) at the Faculty of Air Defense in Alexandria. This is their belief in the continuous support and encouragement provided by the President of the University to the College of Engineering and its students. The student team was able to win sixth place in the competition out of 306 projects submitted by student teams in Egyptian and international universities. The students participated in a project entitled "Designing a Green Hydrogen Gas Turbine" under the supervision and training of Dr. Hamed Ragaa Al-Tahan, Head of Mechanical Power Engineering Department. The participating team in the competition may consist of fourth year students, and they are:

• Student / Ahmed Khaled Ramadan Al-Raghi.

• Student/ Mohamad Essam Gomaa.

• Student/ Ahmed El-Sayed Khair El-Din.

• Student/ Zyad Hamdi Abd Allah.

• Student/ Nader Al-Sayed Ramadan.

During the meeting, the students presented the importance of their project and the desired benefit from its implementation, and they reported that they were invited to visit a major industrial facility. Then the students presented their winning certificate as well as a letter of appreciation from them to the university president. The university president expressed his happiness with the achievements of the students of the Faculty of Engineering and their participation in many competitions that represent the university internationally and locally. He praised the spirit of teamwork that appeared in the winning teams, wishing that the team spirit would prevail among the students and future generations. He also thanked them for the words they addressed to him with all the noble meanings they bear. On this occasion, the President of the University congratulates the winning students, and Professor Dr. Hamdi Ahmed Al-Ghandour, Dean of the College of Engineering, and Professor Dr. Hamed Ragaa Al-Tahan, the supervisor of the team and head of the Mechanical Powers Department. He wishes them all more excellence and success. It is worth noting that the qualifiers took place in three stages, where 767 projects from various universities and schools competed in the first stage, and the filtering took place to complete the second stage, 422 projects, to move to the final stage, so that the competition will be between 130 projects.
