On Monday , 29 l 7 l 2019 , the University Council held its session  # 124, headed by ,the  president of the university professor , Dr. El Sayed Mohamad Dadour who welcomed the attendees and congratulated them on the speed of announcing the results of the academic year 2018 l2019. Professor,  Dr. Ashraf Talaat - General supervisor of the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine,  Professor,  Dr. Gamal Behery - General supervisor of the establishment of the Faculty of Computers and Information attended the meeting. His Excellency also preferred to direct the university's cultural coordination team to the expedite  and accuracy of the tasks assigned to them, and he also stated that field visits will be organized to work sites.  He pointed out that the faculty  of Engineering recorded the highest degree of admission in the coordination among  the faculties of engineering in Egyptian universities, as well as the Faculty of Archeology equally with Archeology ,Cairo University. Dr. Dadour made reference  that the faculties of the university now include seven special programs instead of just one , and this reflects the efforts of all the university staff, led by professor , Dr. Tarek M. Abou  Elmaaty – former vice president for Education and Students' Affairs , deans of the faculties and all the staff of the university . The  president of the university congratulated Professor,  Dr. Ashraf Sobhy - the Minister of Youth and Sports,on successfully organized the African Nations Championship; a global organization that we are all proud of ,and also for the achievement of the youth handball team with bronze medal in the World Cup. Dr. Ayad Al-Raddad was also honored as one of the Libyan students for granting PhD from the Faculty of Commerce, Department of Accounting that  his excellency works as a financial auditor at the Libyan Embassy in Cairo, He then awarded him the university locket in the presence of Proffesor. Dr. Mohamad Al-Bahnsawy- the executive director of international students management. At the session, a new special program was adopted in the Faculty of Applied Arts under the title (Designing Ornaments and Fashion). The subject was raised for adoption by the Supreme Council of Universities. The time map for the new academic year 2019/2020 was adopted .

The council  discussed many topics and issued several decisions such as :

-Granting  a scientific title (1) one professor at the faculties of the university.

-Granting  a scientific title (5) five assistant professor.

-Granting the doctorate degree to a number of (12) twelve researchers.

-Granting a master's degree to (20) twenty researchers.
