Sponsored by President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi , a competition was held among Egyptian universities to choose the best university in the field of receiving the new academic year 2019 – 2020. Professor Dr. Khaled Abd El Ghafar, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the results of this competition , with Damietta University winning first place among all Egyptian universities. Standard-settings included many matters : equipping laboratories, halls, classes, providing services, activities to welcome new students and more..  . It is worth mentioning that, the jury of the competition included representatives of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Planning ,Administrative Control, the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces and a number of experts of the sector committees of the Supreme Council of Universities and the Ministry of Higher Education. Professor  Dr. El Sayed Mohamad Dadour The President of the university congratulated and thanked all university employees in particular, vice President, deans, the university’s general secretary, faculty members, university administrative staff, and students. This result is considered the best conclusion for the year 2019 and in appreciation of the efforts of leaders, professors, administrators and university students.
