Today, Monday, January 31, 2022, at ten in the morning in the Great Meeting Hall of the new General Administration building, the University Council was held in its 173rd session, headed by Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour the president of the University, and the membership of the Vice Presidents and Deans of Faculties, and the Secretary General of the University took over the secretariat of the session.

The President of the University began the session by welcoming the members of the Council to the new General Administration building as part of the experimental operation of the building.

The president of the university thanked the deans of the faculties for continuing to follow the examination process in their various faculties, stressing the need to continue to follow the precautionary measures.

The university president also urged the deans of the faculties to quickly complete the correction processes and announce the results as soon as possible. Then, he moved to discuss the agenda, and the Council took many decisions, the most important of which are as follows:

1. Approval of the holding of the fourth scientific conference for students of Egyptian universities and institutes, "Future Scientists 5", from May 11-12, 2022.

2. Acceptance of the donation provided by Wagdy Moamen & Partners for Textile Industries, which is 1,324 pieces of clothing, to be distributed to students who are unable at the university. Thanks were given to the family of the engineer/ Wagdy Moamen for their keenness to make the annual donation that he made to university students throughout the previous years.

 3. Acceptance of the donation provided by Hajj/ Mohamad Mohamad Al-Ghaly and Hajj/ Ali Mohamad Al-Ghaly, which is a structural building consisting of 5 floors and built on an area of ????800 meters in Al-Shu`araa city in Damietta and allocated to the outpatient clinics hospital of the Faculty of Human Medicine, with the Council thanking them for their keenness to Health care for the people of Damietta Governorate and for their support of the Faculty of Medicine at the university. The Council also confirmed the continuation of work on establishing the university hospital on the land allocated for this in the fourth district of the new city of Damietta.

 5. Approval of meeting the needs of the College of Computing and Artificial Intelligence for financial support of (one million and 250 thousand pounds) to raise the efficiency of the current college laboratories in light of the educational programs that have been developed.

6. Approval of the establishment of a technology center at Damietta University under the name of SUS (Smart University Solutions Center) and allocating an amount of 3 million pounds as financial support for the center.

7. Granting the scientific title to three (3) professor positions

8. Granting the scientific title to (5) assistant professor positions

9. Granting (6) Ph.D. degrees

10. Granting (23) a master's degree

11. Appointment of (3) with the grade of teacher (promotion)

12. Appointment of (4) at the rank of assistant teacher (promotion).

13. Appointment of (25) teaching assistants at the College of Nursing by advertisement

14. Appointment of (18) assistant teachers at the Faculty of Human Medicine by advertisement

15. Appointment of (3) teachers at the College of Nursing by advertisement
