University students win the Academy of Scientific Research funding for their research projects

          Today, Monday, March 14, 2022 Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, President of the University, received a report from Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taibany, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, stating that a number of students of the fourth year at the Faculty of Science had won research projects funded by more than 85 thousand pounds from the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology Which previously announced the opening of the door to apply for grants to support graduation projects for final-year students in Egyptian universities (My Project is My Beginning Program). A number of male and female students from different Egyptian universities submitted their research projects, and the result resulted in the following projects winning the funding:

The first project:

® Project name in Arabic: Using some vegetable products as fish feed, and their effect on growth performance

® Supervisor: Professor Dr. Mohamad Hamed Bahnasawy & Eng. Mona Mohamad Hassan Nawarej.

® Students: Rahma Halim Mahmoud Abu Al Aila & Esraa Merai Merai Hassan.

® Fourth year, College of Science, Biological Oceanography Program, credit hour system.

The second project:

® Project name in Arabic: Possible use of a species of marine copepod isolated from Egyptian coastal waters as live food for marine fish larvae.

® Supervisor: Dr. Wael Salah Al-Tohamy.

® Students: Maryam Al-Sayed Mossad Al-Gohr & Mahmoud Al-Sayed Hamza Mohamad Khedr.

® Fourth year, College of Science, Biological Oceanography Program, credit hour system.

Third project:

® Project name in Arabic: Fungal viruses and biological resistance to fungal diseases.

® Supervisor: Dr. Mahmoud Al-Husseiny & Eng. Merna Al-Basiouny.

® Students: Somaya Hassan Al-Murshidy & Esraa Ahmed Al-Husseiny.

® Fourth year, Faculty of Science, Microbiology and Chemistry.

On this occasion, the President of the University congratulates the winning students, their supervisors, and Professor Dr. Mohamad Abu Dobara, Dean of the College of Science, and wishes them all further excellence and success.
