A committee from the Supreme Council of Universities to visit the Faculty of Archeology

                   Today, Thursday, August 3, 2023, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally, Acting President of Damietta University, welcomed members of the Sector Committee of the Faculties of Archeology at the Supreme Council of Universities, to assess the components of the study in the faculty, and to indicate the extent to which it is able to continue the educational process or not. The committee was formed by Professor Dr. Raafat Mohamad El Nabrawy, former Dean of the Faculty of Archeology at Cairo University, Professor Dr. Adel Zain El Abidine, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Tanta University, and Professor Dr. Mohamad Kamal, Dean of the Faculty of Archeology, Fayoum University. The visit began with a meeting with the committee in the meeting hall of the college. An introductory video about the college was shown. In the presence of the college leaders, faculty members and the supporting staff. During the university president's address, he welcomed the esteemed committee and the attendees, and explained that during the visit, the committee will inspect the college building at the university's headquarters, to ensure the availability of security and safety elements, and material and human capabilities, such as auditoriums, classrooms, laboratories, offices of faculty members and the administrative staff, in addition to College leadership offices, in accordance with quality standards to ensure the quality of the educational process in the college. He also confirmed that the college is proceeding with a well-thought-out plan that serves its students and the surrounding community. The members of the committee praised the tangible achievements that have been made to serve researchers and students and to equip one of the most modern laboratories in the world, which is unique to the Faculty of Archeology, Damietta University.  The college was born great and will remain great thanks to the leaders in it. At the end of the meeting, everyone congratulated Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie for assuming the duties of Acting President of Damietta University, and this is a source of pride for the Faculty of Archeology. This was followed by an inspection tour of the research laboratories of the International Center for Research and Conservation of Antiquities in the college, which were established and equipped with the latest devices and equipment, which are unique in the faculties of archeology at the level of Egyptian universities. Then the committee moved to the auditoriums, classrooms, and student laboratories. The esteemed committee continued to praise what they witnessed on the ground.
