Damietta University classified by the British Times ranking of universities with societal impact

          Sponsored by professor Dr . El Sayed Mohamad Dadour the president of the university and it shows the extent of the effort made by the graduate studies sector under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie – the vice president for Postgraduate Studies and Research and with the sincere effort of the international classification team headed by professor Dr. Amany Al-Diasty , University of Damietta maintained its appearance for the second year in a row among the major international universities in the Times ranking for evaluating universities according to societal impact THE: Impact Ranking 2021 Where the university ranked 601-800 globally despite the increase in the number of international universities this year than its predecessor. The university also ranked fifth locally in this classification, which is one of the publications of the British Times Foundation rankings, which it publishes annually to compare the performance of universities globally, and this classification measures the contribution of each university and its performance in relation to each of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. It is worth noting that Damietta University this year appeared in the ranking of universities in all the seventeen United Nations goals for sustainable development, and the university also made great progress in achieving these goals, for example: it reached the 101st position in the second goal on hunger issues, It also won the 201st position in a number of goals, such as the twelfth goal on responsible consumption, the fourteenth goal concerned with issues of life under water and the fifteenth goal concerned with issues of life on earth, and the university also ranked 301 in the axes of clean water and clean energy. On this occasion, the President of the University thanks the vice  presidents, deans of colleges, vice deans , administrative staff and students for their support so that the university enters this classification and in that order .He also extends special thanks to the team of the International Classification and Publishing Unit for their efforts in collecting and classifying university data, and then presenting in various international classifications.
