Today, Sunday, February 19, 2023, Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, President of the University, inaugurated the activities of the second festival for student families under the slogan “Gathered in the Love of Egypt,” which is organized by the General Administration of Student Welfare under the leadership of Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taybani, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. The activities of the first day began with the launch of a marathon running competition for male and female students, a distance of 1 km for male students and a distance of 1.5 km for male students, with the university president sounding the starting whistle. This was in the presence of Professor Dr. Abd Al Hamid Khedr, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, a number of deans and vice- deans, pioneers and rapporteurs of student families at the university, and the Director General of Student Welfare. Distinguished participation was witnessed by the students of Family for Egypt in the university’s faculties, as well as students from different families. The results of the marathon resulted in the female students winning first:

• Manna Allah Srii won first place in the Faculty of Physical Education.

• Hanan Mohamad, Faculty of Arts, won the second place.

• Shahd Osama, Faculty of Arts, won the third place.

Secondly, the male students:

• Mohamad Hani, Faculty of Law, won the first place.

• Ahmed Al-Badawi, Faculty of Physical Education, won the second place.

• Hazem Hussein, Faculty of Engineering, won the third place.

Then, He moved to watch a karate show for the students of the Faculty of Physical Education, Damietta University, who are Hagar Al-Ghitany, and, Menna Nawara. The activities of the first day also included attending the final of the football championship for students between the College of Physical Education and the College of Arts, and the final of the football tournament for girls between the College of Physical Education and the College of Education, which was implemented by the Department of Sports Activity in the General Administration of Student Welfare under the supervision of Mr. Mohamad Refaat, Director General of the General Administration of Welfare. and students. The festival aims to discover student talents and open creative paths for them, whether scientific, artistic or cultural, and expand the vision and scope of student activity to discover and nurture the creative energies of their youth, through student activities that seek to change the ways students think and employ them in daily life. It is worth noting that the activities of the second festival continue for student families, which are held from February 19 to February 29, 2023, and include many different student activities, which received a great turnout from students, as a number of student competitions were held, which included the Information League competition, a scientific electronic magazine competition, and mobile and service competitions.
