The General Administration of Cultural Relations at the Supreme Council of Universities refers to what was reported to the council’s secretariat by Prof. Dr. / Secretary General of the Egyptian National Committee for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO - ALECSO - ISESCO) at the Ministry of Higher Education, including that UNESCO invites member states to send their nominations for the UNESCO International Literacy Prizes for the year 2021, which includes:-

The UNESCO/King Segong Literacy Prize, established in 1989 and sponsored by the Republic of Korea, pays special attention to programs focused on the development and use of mother tongue literacy education and training.

The UNESCO/Confucius Prize for Literacy was established in 2005 and is sponsored by the People's Republic of China. This Prize recognizes programs that encourage adult literacy, especially in rural areas and out-of-school youth, especially girls and women.

Those wishing to apply for prizes must complete the electronic form prepared for this purpose no later than June 13, 2021 via the following link

The National Committee shall be provided with a copy of the form sent electronically and an approved letter of nomination of the entity to which the applicant belongs, via the e-mail shown below, no later than June 15, 2021, So that the committee can decide on the applications submitted and provide them to the organization before the deadline for applying for prizes, which is June 27, 2021
