8 scientists from Damietta University are among the Stanford top 2%

               The emergence of 8 scientists from Damietta University in various scientific fields, according to a study by Stanford University, which announced today, September 17, a list of the names of “the best 2% of the world’s scientists for their total scientific production and reference citations for their scientific research.” This list is issued by the Elsevier Foundation, and this list includes More than 210,000 scientists from 167 countries around the world, classifying scientists in 22 scientific fields, divided into 176 specializations based on the Scopus database. In this regard, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, extends his sincere congratulations to the prominent scholars of Damietta University whose names are included in Stanford’s list of the top 2% of scientists in the world, wishing them further success and progress during their academic career.

They are as follows according to the international order of their supremacy in the lists:

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abd Al-Ghani Owais, Computer Department - Artificial Intelligence field.

Prof. Dr. Imad Al-Saeed, Faculty of Engineering - Energy field.

Prof. Dr. Ashraf Al-Bandari, Faculty of Science, field of chemical physics.

Prof. Dr. Abd Al-Gawad Radi, Faculty of Science, field of analytical chemistry.

Prof. Dr. Adel Zaki Al-Sunbati, Faculty of Science, field of chemical physics.

Prof. Dr. Hamdi Zidan (may God have mercy on him), College of Science, field of polymers.

Prof. Dr. Nasra Ayoub, Faculty of Medicine, General Medicine.

Prof. Dr. Mohamad Sarhan, College of Science, field of applied geophysics.

The appearance of 8 scientists from the university in the Stanford lists indicates the quality of the research outputs of the university’s employees. It also reflects the extent of the effort exerted by faculty members in the recent period to advance scientific research and increase the number and impact of research published in prestigious scientific journals listed in global databases, as a result of what it provides. The university supports researchers to achieve quality scientific research outputs.

Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie also extends his sincere congratulations to all the university’s employees, and extends his thanks and appreciation to Professor Dr. Mohamad Abd Al Hamid Shehab, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, and to the university’s classification team headed by Professor Dr. Amany Al-Diasty, wishing for more progress in the various international classifications that the university is targeting.
