Within the framework of promoting scientific research and supporting it to achieve the goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El Metwally, President of the University, held a meeting with researchers participating in research projects funded by the Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority and the Academy of Scientific Research, in order to follow up on the progress of work in these projects and evaluate the activities implemented since the signing of the contracts. The meeting focused on the necessity of preparing comprehensive reports on the activities of research projects from the signing of contracts until now, to be presented to the Supreme Council of Universities. The President of the University indicated that these projects represent an essential factor in raising the university’s ranking regionally and internationally. He also announced that the third appeal to the Central Research Fund at the University would focus on financing projects that address pressing issues in Damietta Governorate and support local development plans. Dr.  Rabie pointed out the importance of continuous cooperation between academics, researchers with funded research projects, and industry partners, stressing the holding of periodic meetings to enhance this cooperation. The University President also praised the Center of Research Excellence in Advanced Agricultural Science, calling on researchers to take advantage of the advanced equipment available at the center to support and enhance their research capabilities.
