The University President attends the inauguration ceremony of the Engineering College Students' Union

             Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally, President of the University, attended the inauguration ceremony of the Faculty of Engineering Students' Union on March 18, 2025. The ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Mohamad Abdo Amasha, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Hamdy El-Ghandour, Dean of the Faculty, along with the Faculty's Vice Deans, faculty members, supporting staff, and the administrative staff. Before the official ceremony, the university president toured at the "Science Exhibition," which featured dozens of research projects completed by students from the College of Engineering's various departments. He praised the excellence and creativity evident in the ideas presented, saying:

> "These projects prove that our students are capable of keeping pace with technological developments and proposing solutions to real-life problems. The university supports every innovative idea that contributes to building a better future."

Then, student Khaled Hamam, the new president of the college's Student Union, delivered a speech in which he expressed his gratitude for the trust, emphasizing:

"Today, we celebrate the spirit of leadership and cooperation that unites us as students. Our mission is not only to organize events, but also to enrich university life and support our colleagues academically and socially. This responsibility has changed my character, and we will work hard to achieve your aspirations." He also thanked the faculty members for their continuous support throughout his academic study.

For his part, Professor Hamdi El-Ghandour, Dean of the College, praised the Student Union's role as an active partner in the success of the College's activities, particularly in welcoming new students and organizing awareness campaigns. He added that the Union represents the voice of the students, appreciating their efforts in fostering a sense of belonging to the College and the nation.

Professor Dr. Mohamad Abdo Amasha, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, congratulated the new union, adding: "You are the future engineers  , and these projects  demonstrate that you are on the right path and the society awaits your creativity."

Finally, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, President of the University, congratulated the new Student Union and emphasized the University's full support for student innovations, saying: "The College of Engineering is steadily advancing toward excellence, and the University will embrace any research project or innovative idea you present. You are partners in shaping the future of this nation."

The ceremony concluded with honoring the students who participated in the science fair and distributing commemorative shields to outgoing and new union members. This was amidst great optimism about the college's future under the leadership of a distinguished student union that is reviving the spirit of teamwork and leadership among students.
