The University President visited the Egyptian-Japanese School in New Damietta

             Within the framework of the invitation submitted by the Egyptian-Japanese School in New Damietta, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, today, March 14, 2024, made a visit to the school to open the school’s science fair and review the model of applying the Japanese experience in Egyptian education at the school. He was accompanied by Professor Dr. Hamid Al-Far, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit at the College of Arts, Professor Dr. Omnia Al-Batrawy, Dean of the College of Medicine and Vice Dean of the College of Science for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Professor Dr. Mamdouh Serag, Professor in the Department of Botany in the College of Science, and Dr. Amani Farid, Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences in the College of Science. He was received by Dr. Ahmed Abdo Abd Al Baky, Director of the Egyptian Japanese School in New Damietta, and the Japanese expert Masajiro Koga, in the presence of First Undersecretary Mohamad Ramadan Ghareb, Director of the Directorate of Education in Damietta. Following the opening activities, which began with the national anthem, the university president toured the forum to learn about the school students’ scientific experiments and research projects concerned with issues of the environment, sustainable development, water, and green spaces. On the sidelines of the forum, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, President of the University, honored the outstanding male and female students at the school and urged them to exert more effort to achieve a bright future that reflects the progress and elevation of society. The university president noted that the school's outstanding male and female students will be honored at the annual honoring ceremony for the university's top graduates.
