The University President inaugurates the Nile Creators International Fine Arts Exhibition

          Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, inaugurated yesterday evening, Sunday, July 28, 2024, the Nile International Fine Arts Exhibition in its tenth session, which was organized by the Damietta Culture Palace at the Engineers Syndicate in New Damietta. This came in the presence of Professor Dr. Hatem Idris, former Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs. Professor Dr. Ghada Al-Sayad, Dean of the College of Applied Arts, Professor Dr. Taha Hassan Al-Ghobashy, Professor of Sculpture and Ceramics at the College of Specific Education, Engineer Dr. Mohamed Khalaf, Head of the New Damietta Reconstruction Authority, Professor Dr. Hamid Al-Far, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit at the College of Arts, and Eng. Awad Mohamad Awad, Head of the Syndicate of Engineers. In Damietta, Mr. Ahmed Shoulah, Director of the Damietta Culture Palace, and the artist Rasha Al-Agha, the exhibition coordinator. The exhibition included distinguished works of art in the field of drawing, fine art of all kinds, woodwork, handmade, wood and paper works, and beadwork. The exhibition brought together artists of all ages, including children and youth, in diverse and distinct artistic fields and styles, and a number of Arab artists and artists with disabilities participated in it. It included a great diversity of paintings displayed that dealt with many schools of fine art, as about ninety male and female models from many governorates participated, a large number of whom were young talents. During the university president’s speech, he welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of the university’s role in nurturing talented people in various arts and encouraging them to always be creative. His Excellency announced that the university is in the process of organizing competitions and sporting, artistic and cultural events in cooperation with colleges, to encourage its students to participate and adopt talents that deserve attention and development, and to open The creative paths before them, whether scientific, artistic, cultural or sports, and supporting them in discovering and developing their creativity and talents. The Damietta Culture Palace presented a shield for honoring Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, President of the University, and the participants in the exhibition were also given certificates of appreciation and shields in honor of their excellence and outstanding artistic creativity.
