The university achieves advanced positions in the Smart Education Hackathon at Benha University

     In the presence of Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, and Professor Dr. Wael Abd Al Kader, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, Damietta University achieved a distinguished achievement in the Smart Education Hackathon hosted by Banha University, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Banha University, with the participation of an elite group of university presidents, their deputies and deans of colleges, where the university won two awards in the competitions that witnessed strong competition among many Egyptian universities. The EcoNerve team won first place in the data analysis track, and the Neuroninja team came in third place in the game-based education track, thus confirming the winning students’ superiority and distinction in the fields of information technology and digital education.

The first team (EcoNerve) included female students:

Ahlam Mustafa El-Sheshtawy.

Salma Mohamad Fath al-Din Abdel Mgeed Abd Rabbo.

The second team (Neuroninja) included female students:

Sarah Abdo Mohamad Abu Sobh.

Safa Tarek Mohamad Al-Atroush.

Shahd Fekry Saleh Al-Tabey Eid .

Nada Al-Saeed Abdel Razek.

Shahd Hisham Mohamad Basheer.

Renad Khaled Ahmed Al-Gabrouny.

Menna Allah Abdel Moneim Al-Sayed Al-Sakaan.

In this regard, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, thanked Professor Dr. Nasser Al-Gizawy, President of Banha University, for the good hosting and organization, stressing that this achievement reflects the vision of the Egyptian state in digital transformation and promoting innovation in education. He also congratulated the winning students and supervisors for their efforts, praising the role of Professor Dr. Wael Abdel Kader, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, and Dr. Heba Hamed Al-Hadedy, supervisor of the teams in training the students. This win is an important step towards enhancing cooperation between Egyptian universities and supporting young talents who contribute to building an innovative technical future, in line with the objectives of the “Digital Egypt 2030” strategy.
