Damietta University launches a refresher course to support student activities

                    Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, launched the refresher course for students of the preparatory, first and second year levels in the university’s colleges, which was organized by the General Administration of Student Welfare, in the presence of Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdo Amasha, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, the deans of the university’s faculties and their deputies, and Mr. Muhammad Refaat, General Director. Caring for students at the university. The refresher course comes within the framework of the university’s interest in enhancing awareness of university activities and providing a stimulating environment for new students. The opening of the refresher course witnessed several events that followed the playing of the national anthem of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an. These activities included a queue show for the university’s faculties, as well as sports performances and paragraphs. A diverse poetic, artistic and musical event, which ended with the university president opening the scientific and artistic exhibition of students’ products and projects. Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdo Amasha, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, invited his male and female university students to participate in university activities. Dr. Amasha emphasized that these activities contribute to developing personal skills and strengthening bonds between students, which contributes to creating an active and enjoyable learning environment. In his speech, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, expressed Damietta University’s keenness to provide an academic environment that encourages students to actively participate in student activities, and always seeks to support all activities, whether cultural, sports, artistic or scientific, which are a fundamental pillar in developing students’ skills. Which contributes to improving their academic experience and enhancing their social interaction. The university president praised the organization of the refresher course, appreciating the efforts of those in charge of it, stressing the importance of motivating students to participate in activities and seize the available opportunities to develop their personalities and enhance their university experience.
