The University President witnesses the launching of the Youth Leadership Forum in its fourth edition

         Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, President of the University, welcmed today in his office Mr.  Mohamad Saber Al-Mawafy, President of the National Union of Youth Leaders, and his accompanying delegation, within the framework of coordination and cooperation between the University, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Youth Leadership Union, for the University to host the conclusion of the activities of the Youth Leadership Forum in its fourth edition, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports. This was followed by Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie and Mr.Mohamad Al-Mawafiy heading to open the activities of the Youth Leadership Forum in the conference hall of the Civic Education Center in New Damietta, accompanied by Professor Dr. Mohamad Shehab, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Gamal, Head of the Civil Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering, and in the presence of Dr. Samir Abd Al-Ghani. Vice President of the National Union of Youth Leaders. The forum activities began with the playing of the national anthem of the Arab Republic of Egypt .Mr. Mohamed Saber Al-Mawafi, President of the National Union of Youth Leaders, thanked and appreciated Damietta University for its wise leadership represented by Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, expressing his happiness at the fruitful cooperation with the university, stressing that universities have the greatest role in building conscious and promising leaders who serve our beloved country. Meanwhile, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, thanked all attendees for bearing the hardship of travel, noting his happiness at the University hosting the Youth Leadership Forum in its fourth edition under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister, Professor Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, stressing that the University always embraces all activities that would Serving our dear country. The university president explained that youth leaders are the nation's leaders and its intellectual shield, so it is the duty of every Egyptian to play his assigned role in building thought. The university president sent a message advising all young people attending to translate their belonging to their homeland into their behavior with others, and understand what is happening around them, through programmes, courses and seminars, and this is represented in the Youth Leadership Forum, as they are the leaders of the future and the hope of the nation. Professor Dr. Mohamad Abdel Hamid Shehab, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, welcomed all his sons and daughters who are youth leaders, stressing that the role of the university is to build and adopt ideas and transform them into a practical reality that can be applied to serve the nation. His Excellency explained that the university works on free entrepreneurial thought through the university’s Incubator and Entrepreneurship Center to adopt students’ ideas and transform them into practical and national projects that serve the local and international community. The Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research sent a message to the young men and women of youth leaders to search for their abilities and advantages and work to develop them through continuity and working within a team. He also encouraged them to innovate, adopt ideas and initiatives, and invest their energies to increase their opportunities for participation and empowerment in various sectors. Dr. Samir Abdel Ghani, Vice President of the National Union of Youth Leaders, concluded his speech by thanking the generous platform, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, and all attendees, speaking about the role of youth in preparing and implementing plans and strategies, which is the best way to benefit from emerging resources and opportunities and resources more efficiently. His Excellency spoke about the great role of youth in developing and building society, and their role, which is not limited to a specific field, but rather includes all social, political, and economic fields and various development sectors. It is worth noting that the Youth Leadership Forum aims to enhance the role of youth in society and develop their leadership skills, which contributes to achieving sustainable development. This event is considered a vital platform for exchanging ideas and experiences among young people, and developing their capabilities to achieve their goals and ambitions. This forum comes within the framework of the ongoing efforts of the National Union of Youth Leaders to support youth initiatives and enhance their effective participation in public life.
