New achievement for the university in the Times World Ranking for Scientific Topics 2025

           A new achievement for Damietta University: the university is included for the first time in the field of life sciences in the Times World Ranking for Scientific Topics 2025. Damietta University achieves advanced positions in the Times World Ranking for Scientific Topics 2025. The results of the Times Ranking of Scientific Topics for the year 2025 were announced, and the results showed that Damietta University was included in the life sciences major within the 601-800 ranking globally, achieving fourth place locally (repeated) out of 23 listed universities. The results also showed that Damietta University was included in the field of physical sciences for the third year in a row, achieving a ranking of 601-800 globally and fourth place locally (duplicate) out of 28 listed universities. The Times World Ranking of Scientific Disciplines is part of the British Times Ranking, and evaluates the performance of universities in various disciplines such as natural sciences, medicine, engineering, computer science, economics, arts, social sciences, and humanities, based on precise criteria. These are the same performance indicators used in the Times World Rankings, and include quality of education, scale and impact of scientific research, international visibility, and income from industry. This achievement reflects the efforts which raise the university’s position in international Ranking, and to advance the scientific research system by encouraging researchers to publish scientifically in major international journals ranked in global databases, and to pay attention to scientific and applied research. On this occasion, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, President of the University, extends his thanks to Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdel Hamid Shehab, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, and extends his sincere congratulations to all those affiliated with the University in general, and to the employees of the College of Science and Agriculture in particular.
