Damietta University  achieved an unprecedented achievement in the International  SciMago Ranking 2025,that It ranked the second locally and 1,459th globally in the field of energy, achieving remarkable progress on all levels. Comparing with the last year results, the data showed that the university jumped 26 local positions (from 28th to 2nd), advanced 110 African positions, and jumped 1,784 global positions in the field of energy, after it was ranked 3,243rd globally in 2024. The SCIMAGO ranking is one of the most prominent global rankings that measures universities' performance in areas of scientific research, innovation, and societal impact, relying on data analysis from databases such as Scopus. The 2025 results confirm that Damietta University has become a model for accelerating academic excellence in Egypt and Africa, particularly in the energy sector, a pillar of sustainable development. Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, President of the University, expressed his happiness, emphasizing that this ranking is the result of intensive research and scientific efforts, as well as strategic plan focused on supporting sustainable energy and innovation projects. He explained his commitment to strength the University's position as a leading regional level in the energy field, and that this achievement is not the end of the road, but rather the beginning of achieving more advanced global levels.
