The university president meets with the National Anti-Corruption Strategy Committee

   Within the framework of activating and implementing the National Anti-Corruption Strategy 2023/2030, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, met today, August 7, 2024, with the committee to follow up on the implementation of the goals and executive procedures for the third phase of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy at the University to discuss the basics of the action plan to achieve transparency and governance in all sectors of the University in light of The university's anti-corruption plan, which is derived from the National Anti-Corruption Strategy 2023/2030. At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the University welcomed the attendees, stressing the University’s keenness to achieve national strategies to combat corruption and address all its forms and manifestations, especially in light of the efforts and policies of His Excellency President Abd Al Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development in Egypt. Then Ms. Sarah Shanshen, coordinator of the follow-up of the implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy at the university, reviewed the work plan for the university’s sectors in terms of the strategic and subsidiary goals and their executive procedures, and the performance indicators on which periodic follow-up reports will be made. She also presented the main axes that will be worked on to achieve the goals. Which is represented by “an efficient and effective administrative body that provides distinguished services to citizens and investors, and a society that is aware of the dangers of corruption and capable of combating it.” In conclusion, the University President stressed the importance of fruitful cooperation between all sectors to be able to implement these strategic goals and executive procedures, directing the necessity of holding awareness seminars for university students, faculty members, and employees about the dangers of corruption and mechanisms to combat it, indicating that the university is keen to activate institutional work to As well as developing and implementing integrity and transparency mechanisms and combating corruption.
