Damietta University welcomed a delegation from the American Embassy

           Within the framework of enhancing cultural cooperation between Egypt and the United States of America, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, opened an introductory symposium on the academic and professional exchange programs supported by the US Department of State, which was presented by the delegation of the American Embassy in Cairo. The visiting delegation included Ms. Rania Al-Sayed and Ms. Samar. Gamal El-Din, Cultural Affairs Specialist at the US Embassy in Cairo. This came in the presence of Professor Dr. Mohamad Abdo Amasha, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, the deans of the university’s faculties, a group of faculty members and supporting staff, and university students. The meeting included awareness lectures for students and faculty about scholarships available in the United States, professional development opportunities provided by the US government in various fields, and academic and professional exchange programs supported by the US Department of State. This meeting comes as part of ongoing efforts to enhance cultural and scientific exchange between the two sides and expand opportunities for academic cooperation between Egyptian universities and their American counterparts.
