Damietta University ranked the fourth out of 46 Egyptian universities participating in the Times University Impact Ranking 2024 edition which measures the performance of universities in relation to the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Damietta University ranked 601-800 out of 1,963 global universities in achieving the 17 sustainable development goals for the fifth year in a row. Damietta University also distinguished itself in some goals, including:

The seventh goal related to clean energy, so the university ranked 101-200 among the world’s universities.

The eleventh goal, related to sustainable cities and societies, ranked 301-400 among the world’s universities, as well as the 301-400 ranking in the sixteenth goal, related to peace, justice, and strong institutions.

The university president, Professor Dr., indicated that this progress in achieving the sustainable development goals is the result of the combined efforts of all Damietta University employees, including faculty, staff and students, and the adoption of a strategy with clear goals to achieve Egypt’s 2030 plan.
